Roberto Allaix, Partner of PGA, is a European Patent Attorney specialized in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields. He is also an Italian patent & trademark attorney and a EUIPO representative.

Roberto acquired significant technical experience working as in-house Patent Counsel within the Office of Intellectual Property Counsel of 3M Corp. for the Imaging Division Research Center located at Ferrania, Italy. Roberto further enlarged his technical knowledge working as in-house Patent Attorney within the Intellectual Property Department of Pirelli & C.

Before joining PGA in 2017, Roberto has worked for ten years within the patent firm Marchi & Partners in Milan, dealing with all patent matters in the field of chemistry, pharmacy and biotechnology.

Roberto has a broad range of technical expertise with particular strengths in organic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, material science, coating apparatus, imaging technology, and rubber technology.

Roberto gained a significant experience in drafting patent applications and handling prosecution before the Italian Patent Office and before the main international patent offices (such as the European Patent Office and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office). Roberto’s experience also encompasses defense and attack of patents in opposition and appeal proceedings before EPO.

Roberto’s practice also includes the preparation of patentability, validity and freedom to operate opinions. Roberto actively cooperates with the Court of Milan and Turin as Technical Expert.
